Under Greek skies

Is there a colour called ‘Greek blue’? There should be.

A trip around the Peloponnese – that large peninsula southwest of Athens – unfolded under the most extraordinary early summer skies.The stupendous ancient sites of Corinth, Sparta, Olympia and Mycenae came and went, but the constant, embracing sky saw out the days as it had seen out the centuries.

I thought I’d seen blue before. It turns out I hadn’t.
